Supporting Families and Children in Shipley & Bradford Area

At Little Hearts Nursery in Shipley (BD18) and Bradford (BD9) we’re proud to support working families through the government’s 30 hours of free childcare each week (term time only, 38 weeks per year). This fantastic funding scheme helps parents reduce childcare costs while ensuring their children receive high-quality early education in a nurturing and inspiring environment. The offer is available for children aged 9 months to 4 years, depending on age and family eligibility. Parents can choose how to use their hours flexibly across the week, allowing them to balance work and family life with peace of mind. Applications are made online through

Once approved, families receive an eligibility code to share with Little Hearts Nursery before their child’s funded place begins.

To continue receiving the funded hours, parents will need to reconfirm their eligibility every three months via the same HMRC portal. At Little Hearts Nursery, we’re here to guide families through the process, offering friendly advice on how to apply and use the funding effectively. The 30 hours free childcare scheme not only eases financial pressure for working parents but also gives every child access to a rich early learning experience that supports confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
